THE BEST BREWING WATER:

We use only the best brewing water, in order to ensure the unique taste of Jever Pilsener. As long ago as 1898, Theodor Fetköter had a pipeline laid to the brewery, 4 km away from Jever, for that purpose. What makes our brewing water special is that it contains only a small amount of limestone, making it particularly soft.

Soft water is an important characteristic for the brewing of a high-quality, sleek Pilsener. Because our water is by its nature extraordinarily pure and soft, we can add more hops, which is where the unique taste comes from.

MORE HOPS

We get the unique taste by adding more of our high-quality hops during the brewing. That provides special enjoyment – in figures, it is 40 Bitterness Units.
